Whats in my bag: Summer 2015

4:03:00 PM

Hey lovelies! I've always had a fascination with whats in my bag videos, no idea why. But to be honest, I love large handbags and I fill them with random stuff. Maybe I'm just looking for inspiration on what to carry around.

Tragically, some things in my Whats in my Bag video are off season, which is making it difficult to find the links. However, everything I can link, can be seen below.

In the video:

  • Purse// Calvin Klein White Label, Addie Dome Satchel in Bare: I was the type of kid who carried a handbag at age 6, despite not having anything to put in it other than my crayons. The addiction of course continued as I grew older. Except now instead of having a closet full of bags and just bags, I have 5-6 go to purses, a few random clutches, and a few cross bodies, even though I rarely ever use them. This is the first CK purse I've ever had and honestly I'm still unsure how I feel about it. When I got it out of the box, the purse was already warped, despite being stuffed with tissue. After putting it near a warm place so it could expand a bit, the purse was better but still was a little warped on the side. But, it was honestly nothing worth worrying about or noticing. What initially drew me to this bag was the giant interior zip pocket that acts as a separator between two compartments. Overall, the bag is sturdy and easy to clean. There's also a little pocket in the back, but it's not good for holding much other than a few loose papers.
  • Glasses Case// Random case I got from Marshalls: It's a hardshell case that's incredibly bulky. Even though I wear contacts, I still carry around my glasses, just in case I need them. Because of the condition of my bags and how often they get dropped, I prefer hard cases over soft ones. Even though, I don't think it makes much a difference safety wise.
  • Glasses// London Fog Model #: LF 400.
  • Clutch Wallet// Betsy Johnson: Sadly, I cannot find this on the DSW website or the Betsy Johnson site.
  • Eyedrops & Dental Floss// I carry these two everywhere. Hopefully, I don't need to explain why. But the bottom of my bag is covered in empty eyedrop  bottles and dental piks and floss.
  • Perfume// Coach Legacy: I love this stuff. I'm not the type of person who loves to wear floral perfume. So this is a perfect middle ground between musky and floral. It's a very woodsy scent with a dash of citrus.
  • Lipgloss// Smashbox 'Be Legendary' (Legendary, Pout, Jewel): I actually got these in a box holiday set that came with about 8 lip glosses. I usually hate lipgloss and stick to lipstick, because of how sticky and sparkly lipgloss usually is. But the Smashbox lipgloss is very pigmented, it has a hint of sparkle but not too much, and it's not sticky at all. I wouldn't call it long wear because I find myself reapplying it after the 4-hour mark to refresh the color. But some of the color still lasts for up to 6 hours.
  • Notebook & Pens// It's no secret I make lists regularly and carry around a notebook. (I mean the happy list and all..)
  • GoPro Hero 3 (& Accessories)// I love my gopro and I carry it around everywhere. You just never know when inspiration strikes.
  • Lotion// Bath & Body Works (Warm Vanilla Sugar): I actually just throw in any lotion I have at the time. I'm not a fan of any of the Bath & Body Work lotions that I've tried so far. They're typically greasy on my skin, despite smelling great. So I avoid purchasing them, but I'm often given them as gifts. If I need lotion for the day, I just put one of them in my bag to hold me over.
  • Random Chapstick & Clinique Sample Lipsticks// (Longlast Lipstick in Creamy Nude & Almost Lipstick in Black Honey): My bag is filled with random sample lipsticks I receive.
  • Mints// Most people carry around gum in their bag, because I avoid gum at all costs, I typically just carry around a bunch of random mints. I typically carry around Starbucks after coffee mints, because the xylitol. And they're stronger than most mints.
  • Sunglasses// New York & Company: These are no longer on the New York and Company website.
  • Whatever book I'm reading at the current moment// How to be Parisian Wherever You Are: I read a lot, or at least I used to. I typically read on my ipad, but I'm slowly getting back into paperbooks. Currently, I'm reading, or re-reading, How to be Parisian. I'm trying to decide where I stand on it, because I want to do a review on it.

Not in the video (Because I forgot to put them in or I don't carry them day to day):

  9. Looks like you carry a few of the same things as I do! A small notebook is a great idea, though! I always seem to have something to write down.
