Five Effortless Fashion Staples

Hello Lovelies!

If you're close to me, you'll hear me say "it's quality over quantity" all the time. I'm not big on filling my life with material things, that especially is true with my closet. I'm a big fan of having a few pieces that can go with pretty much everything, and having good quality stuff that lasts me a long time.

Here are my top 5 effortless staples that every closet needs.

#1: A white t-shirt

My favorite staple is by far a classic white t-shirt. Virtually everyone looks great in it, it can be dressed up or down, and it's effortless. There's almost no outfit that a white t-shirt can't look good with.

#2: A good pair of jeans

I'm not going to sit here and say skinny jeans are better than bootcuts, or boyfriend, or flared jeans. Everyone has at least one pair of jeans that flatters them. And I'm a big fan of power dressing, so I think everyone needs one pair of jeans that they feel powerful in.

#3: A killer pair of heels

I love, love, love, love heels. You'll rarely see me in flats. And yes, I was the girl in high school who wore heels ALL THE TIME. I didn't care how I was looked at, I felt unstoppable.

I think it's important to have one pair of heels that are quality, that you feel comfortable in, that you can walk in, and that go with every outfit. (That being said, I count wedges as heels.)

Heels can dress up a look without you even trying much. They have the same effect as dresses. It's simple to pull off and put on, making it an effortless staple, but everyone else thinks you spent forever getting ready.

#4: An A+ Jacket

Incognito Anorak - Olive - Coats | | Jackets + Coats

My A+ jacket would definitely be a solid leather jacket. But, I understand not everyone feels the same way about leather, or doesn't want to get a faux leather jacket.

I love leather because it gives off a (excuse my french) badass feel. If I could wear a white shirt, boyfriend jeans, a 3 1/2 inch heel and a leather jacket for the rest of my life, I would.

Your jacket, doesn't need to be leather, faux or real. It could be a old denim jacket you got at the thrift store that still smells like cigarette smoke no matter how many times you wash it, or a hot pink number that makes you feel like the center of attention. The most important thing is that you feel unstoppable in it.

#5: A go-to accessory

My go to accessory is a small silver Return to Tiffany's necklace. It's something those close to me know, will never leave my neck. Reason being? Tiffany's growing up was unattainable, it represented the life I wanted to have, and I told myself when I made it, I would buy myself a Return to Tiffany's necklace, to resemble the hard work I put into my goals. I think everyone needs something like this.

Accessories can go a long way, even if it's a simple watch or a pair of earrings. They'll add a special extra something to your outfit. And possibly change how you feel about your day.
